Feature: E3 Live

Things are due to get under way in just about 10 minutes now. Announcements will be made, trailers will be shown, and rumours/speculation will be answered [Ed- does Peter Moore have a new tattoo?]
  • Peter Moore promises "the greatest holiday line-up in video game history."
  • Mass Effect new trailer- looking good!
  • Moore comparing console and software sales- 5.6m Xbox 360, 2.8m Wii, 1.4m PS3 (in US.)
  • Showing a games montage- some good stuff in there (Assassins Creed, Bioshock, Mass Effect, etc- oh, and a new Crash Bandicoot game! [Ed- I played them as a kid, ok!?])
  • Showing a new controller- a new family title called 'scene it?'
  • Xbox Live has reached 7 million members- impressive!
  • Showing a Live Arcade montage
  • Sonic and Golden Axe available tonight on Xbox Live Arcade! Nice!
  • Huge selection of Disney movies coming to Video Marketplace, and available to download- tonight all in HD. All Disney movies from now on will come to Video Marketplace
  • Europe will get Video Marketplace this 'Fall.' Autumn then
  • We will also get Xbox 360 Elite on August 24th
  • Call of Duty 4 in-game singleplayer gameplay being played by 2 guys from Infinity Ward. An online multiplayer beta is planned exclusively for 360
  • A new Resident Evil 5 trailer! Oh hell yes! On July 26th the full version will be on Marketplace
  • Jade Raymond is playing Assassins Creed. Man this looks good!
  • We just saw a short action clip of Halo, created by Neill Blomkamp and Bungie
  • A new Special Edition Halo 3 Xbox 360 console will launch worldwide in September

So there we go. Some good stuff announced today, though little in terms of surprises or new game announcements. All reaction will follow tomorrow, but for now...I'm off to bed!
