News: Tomb Raider Anniversary

Eidos have announced that they are indeed working on a Xbox 360 version of Tomb Raider: Anniversary Edition, which will be released as downloadable bonus content for Tomb Raider: Legend. The content will come in a series of episodes, four in fact, with the first two being released along side a training mission 'Croft Mansion.' Episodes three and four will apparently be released shortly after. The content will be available from Marketplace sometime in September and will cost 2400 (GBP 20.40/EUR 28.00) MSP for all four episodes. Eidos also plans to release a full retail version of the game later this year. Great news for us Tomb Raider fans then, though don't you think it's a tad expensive for a download?

It's only expensive if you consider that you don't get a disc. I might pick this up over Marketplace actually, i've been meaning to get TR: Legend for a while, and getting a visually updated version of Anniversary for £20 is just an added bonus. Considering that TR: Anniversary is £25 on PS2 as it is, and the PC version over Steam is the equivalent of £30 anyway, it's not really that bad.

Anyway, how much was The Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion? Wasn't that around the same price?

PS: Also, if i put a load of songs onto a USB memory stick and then plug it into my 360, will i be able to "rip" the songs onto my 360 like it would if i put in a CD?

Yeah I suppose it's not that bad- I'm definately getting it anyway. Shivering Isles was indeed the same- 2400 MSP IIRC, however I never did actually download it- for one reason or another I just decided not to bother. TRL is really good btw- it is basically a Xbox game in HD but it is a good game- but hey, it was designed primarily for the last gen consoles anyway.

In answer to your question- no I'm afraid not. You can only rip CDs to the HDD. Microsoft say the reason for this is to due with piracy issues. You can't rip from any USB device, including MP3 players.
