Halo 3 box art revealed!
While the packaging for the legendary edition was revealed some time ago,
Bungie have now shown off what the final packaging and box art will be for both the standard and special edition versions. The regular edition obviously just comes as it is, the game disk with the usual instruction manual. The Special Edition will come with special extras which will be a
bestiarum book and an interactive bonus disk. The most expensive version, the legendary edition, will come with all the above plus a third bonus disk and all comes in a nice shiny
replica spartan helmet. Behold- the final box art designs! Don't they look lovely?

I'm not impressed with the Standard version's cover, looks pretty bland and "unexciting" to me :/
I think i'll be getting the LE instead of the Spartan Helmet one, i don't really care about seeing the cut scenes from Halo 1 and 2 in HD, and i rarely look at making of material anyway (i've still not touched the 'Gears of War' bonus disc tbh), and my bedroom looks geeky enough without having a shiny Spartan Helmet, lol. Plus, it's £70 that i don't have and i'm not likely to have considering my need to go out drinking every Friday.
A picture i saw a few days ago had three discs: Game Disc One, Game Disc Two, and Bonus Disc. Was this a mistake or will Halo 3 be spread over two discs? (Possibly one disc for multiplayer and one for single player?)
It was a mistake which according to Bungie has now been sorted. The game will be on 1 disk. I'm not sure if to just get the SE, or get the LE yet. I'll pre-order within the next few weeks. Who did you pre-order with btw?
I haven't pre-ordered it yet actually, i did pre-order with Gameplay.co.uk for the Legendary Edition a few months back, but then rethought it and cancelled it due to my lack of money (Better off spending any extra money on 12 months of XBL Gold really).
I'm going to wait until Amazon starts taking orders for the Special Edition and then get it from them (It's listed, but you can't order it yet). Amazon rarely sells out, and if you've pre-ordered it with 1st class delivery you'll get it on release day :)
Don't they only bill you when they ship the game though, ie. you can pre-order a game now and they will only charge you once the game has been sent to you?
Yup, that's how it works. As soon as they dispatch it, you get charged for it.
