Pac-man makes a second appearance (third if you include Ms. Pac-man) to the Xbox Live Arcade this week with Pac-man Championship Edition, essentially the original game given a bit of a 2007 funk-up. In Pac-man Championship Edition, mazes are now much wider and even change as you play. Infact, these are the first new Pac-man mazes in over 26 years- about darn time! The game also comes with new gameplay modes and a completely new visual style. It's a shame then that Namco-Bandai decided to price this version of Pac-man, which should have been the only version worthy enough of being released on Xbox Live Arcade, at a rather steep 800 MSP. Come on, it's Pac-man for hell's sake! If Rare (originally 'Ultimate Play the Game') can completely remake one of it's classic titles for Xbox Live Arcade, aswell as throw in the original classic, all for a mere 400 MSP, it begs the question that surely Namco-Bandai could have done the same.
