If you head to the all-new Xbox Live Marketplace blade and look under game demos then new arrivals, you will find a new 'teaser demo' for Midway Games' Blacksite: Area 51. With the full game not expected to release until around September time, a demo at this stage is quite unexpected, but hey- I'm not complaining and I'm downloading this right now, so off you go to do the same. Also, as far as I'm aware, the demo is available for both Gold and Silver members straight from the off. Here are the handy dashboard details taken from Xbox Live Marketplace:
'Modern day fears come to life in a familiar, yet extraordinary setting: A small American town swarming with alien life. The government is desperate, struggling to contain secrets so terrible they can no longer be kept. Everything hinges on the actions of Aeran Pierce, a former Special Forces assassin thrown into one of the most explosive moments in American history.'

Gave it a go, seems okay, could do with a few of it's own original ideas though, it just seems like another run of the mill shooter at the moment. Nothing special.
PS: Finished GoW II last night, simply brilliant from start to finish :) The game ends on a sort of cliffhanger though. Sony just guaranteed a PS3 sale out of me when GoW III comes out then, lol.
PPS: I saw '28 Weeks Later' this morning and now i'm hankering for some zombie death action, thinking of Dead Rising again, but i'm wondering: What is the actual point of the game? Is the story any good?
Blacksite: Area 51 seems like a solid game. If it builds on what is a decent demo and delivers it's promises- it should be awesome. We'll see I suppose.
Dead Rising has an absolutely superb storyline. It's made better if you decide to complete the extra overtime mode too, which is unlocked once you beat the regular mode. I highly recommend Dead Rising mate.
Btw- did you decide to pick up Ninja gaiden then?
Not picked up NG yet, i'll be waiting until after my exams are finished and then having a spending spree on games, lol. Considering how addicted i was to GoWII i think buying any more games this side of July would be a bit foolish as i probably wouldn't revise as much as i need to (and i REALLY need to).
NG and Dead Rising are definitely on my "To Buy" list though :)
You won't be disappointed by either mate.
How are things at college atm? I'm all set to re-join you again come September. :)
