The Spring firmware update rolled out this morning; you will be prompted to download automatically when you next sign in to Xbox Live. So- what new features do we have? Most noticeable is that we now have a completely new dashboard blade which is home to the Xbox Live Marketplace. Also there's the new instant messenger feature- which you can choose to make use of, or not if you so wish. All you have to do is sign up (just hit the chat and IM tab on the Xbox Live blade, then the IM tab) by linking your gamertag and your IM email address. Other new features include little improvements such as being able to see the name of what game you have in your console on the disk tray tab and being told more details of what you just did when earning an achievement. I'm going to leave it a few days before downloading the update, i don't want to take the risk of it bricking my console like the previous update was reported to do. God of War II will keep me occupied until then (as well as bloody revision, lol.).
Oh dude- it doesn't brick consoles. It was a very small issue that possibly caused a few consoles to break. The update is as it is and waiting a few days will make no difference. Trust you Clarkey boy! Lol. :)
Oh yeah and best of luck with your revision and exams mate.
Still loving God of War II then?
Damn right i'm still loving it :) GoWII is awesome, seriously one of the best games i've ever played. I'm nearing the end now (about 13 hours of gameplay so far) and it does get frustrating, but it still rocks. Highly recommended.
