Bizarre Creation's highly anticipated new Xbox Live Arcade game, Boom Boom Rocket, is now available for 800 MSP. In Boom Boom Rocket you must hit buttons on the controller in time to the music, which appear on screen as rockets. Styled with futuristic visualizers and an awesome soundtrack- this game may well be the new Geometry Wars, funnily enough also developed by Bizarre Creations. This is also the first Xbox Live Arcade project for EA, who made a great job of publishing. Download this now.

It's a similar idea to that "Fantavision" or whatever it was called on the PS2, i believe it was one of the PS2's launch games.
Check out my memory! lol.
I'll take a look at this a bit later.
I think I'm going to download the full version later. It's really fun- especially on hard difficulty. :)
Let me know what you think of it.
Will do!
By the way, get your arse to the cinemas and see 'Sunshine', i saw it a few days ago and i loved it. the special effects are simply amazing, it even "eclipses" (pun intended) '300' in terms of visuals.
I gave it 9/10 in my review, my personal film of the year so far. the best thing is that it's not released in America until September! Haha!
Yes I saw a trailer for that. It did look rather good. Might have to go and see it then.
'My review.' Where can I find this then?
My reviews can be found at either:
http://www.teenageforums.com/forums/t13160-review-sunshine.html
or
http://www.myspace.com/cjclarke
Check out the 'blog' section on the MySpace address, that's where all my reviews are. The 'TeenageForums' site is run by a friend of mine from college, i'm a moderator on there and i post my film reviews in the Movies section. It's a pretty good site too, dunno if it's your kind of thing though. The main reason i post them on there is because it's more public than my blog, TF gets a couple of thousand hits a day, all of which potentially read my reviews :)
I've pretty much decided that i'm going to try and get into Journalism in the Entertainment industry, i love watching and writing about movies, so i suppose the best thing to do is get paid doing something i love.
Great review there mate. I'm glad you're aiming to get in to Journalism now- it's definately something we share a passion for.
Btw you should be aware of a course in Journalism you can take at Norton College after you've attained A levels. It's an alternative way in to Journalism which is better or the same as doing it through University. Not sure which path I going to take yet though.
Cheers mate :)
And yeah, i think at the moment i'm aiming to do Journalism at Uni, after 3 years of college i think i'll be sick and tired of the place, lol.
My main aim is to get to University because apparently i'm the only one in my immediate family that has had the opportunity to go (my cousins are pretty useless in the education department, lol). My Grandad died last September, and he always thought that i'd be going to Uni, so i'd hate to disappoint him :)
I finally got round to playing this earlier, pretty decent, don't think i'll be shelling out for it though, i think it would get VERY repetitive quite quickly. Personally i still prefer Geometry Wars, i just can't pull myself away from that, it's so bloody addictive, lol. Might have to get 400 MS points to buy the full version of GW, i finished the trial game earlier for something like the 100th time, haha.
I have the full version and I don't think it gets repetitive- it's too addictive.
I don't get though how you would say it's repetative- and then go on to say you want Geometry Wars- that's NOT repetitive? I mean any game of this size will get repetitive- they are only small arcade games after all.
Yeah, i know what you mean, it's just that to me GW seems more fun, and probably worth the 400 MS points, whereas i think 800 MS points for BBR is a bit steep for something that really only requires 4 button presses at random intervals. GW seems to need more skill in my opinion.
Don't get me wrong, i thought it was okay, it's just that it didn't exactly make me want to buy it.
Yeah I do think that 400 MSP is about right for most arcade games.
Just out of interest, was GW 800 MS points when it was first released?
PS: The secret function of the X button on Halo 3 was revealed the other day, and it IS the dildo attachment...erm i mean the "bubble shield" attachment. Apparently it's main function is "deploy", so hopefully that will mean more than just the shield.
