News: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2- Demo In-bound?
Official Xbox Magazine UK seem to think that there's a singleplayer demo of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 on the way; before the month's out too. They say we can expect a demo to hit Marketplace before the end of January. I'll keep you guys posted.
As you know, I didn't make much of the original GRAW- infact it won my 'most disappointing game of the year award' last year- nonetheless, this is looking like what the original GRAW should and could have been. Fingers crossed!
Taken from oxm.co.uk:
"Warfighters, Advance!
Expect to sling on your goggles, reload your firearms and refresh your cross-com skills in an all new GRAW 2 demo - due to land on Xbox Live by this months end... if sources close to the production of the title are to be believed.
And whilst there is no confirmation on a drop date at this stage, the onset of the full release will no doubt have Ubisoft rushing to evac their new Warfighter into battle soon, giving fans of the franchise a teaser taste prior to any purchase."

I've got GRAW on the PC, and i played the demo of the 360 version the other day. I can say that the 360 version was more fun due to the larger emphasis on action, but it lost a lot of the tactical element when compared to the PC version. The PC version was an FPS whereas the 360 version is a 3rd person shooter. On the PC version there were a lot more team controls, on the 360 there was only "move here" and "regroup" (that i saw anyway...), while on the PC you could individually plan each of your team mates movements via the Cross Com thing. When you pulled off a perfect flank and wiped out those dirty mexicans it was very satisfying, but on the flipside it was also frustrating when you got wiped out for the 100th time due to poor planning, lol. The PC version of GRAW was closer to what the original Ghost Recon was, while the 360 version felt more Rainbow Six-y to me. Oh, and the PC version was more detailed in terms of graphics, especially if you have a high end PC.
I'll probably pick up GRAW2 on 360, as i've been lead to believe that both the PC and 360 versions are identical this time as opposed to two different games from two different developing studios.
I'm probably going to base my decision to purchase this on the demo. It must be better than the original GRAW.
