Feature: GOTY awards- Most disappointing game award

Despite being critically acclaimed, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter was the game I was most disappointed with in 2006. Before the release of this title I honestly thought that it would be the first truely next generation gaming experience. As a long serving Ghost Recon fan- I found that the latest installment to the series, was infact worse than previous games- with Ghost Recon 2 being one of my favourite games on the original Xbox. It was just truely awful, average at best. Generic, unfinished, rough around the edges- all can be associated easily with Advanced Warfighter. Also one of the so called next gen features- was the picture in picture 'cross com' system. It was a nice idea, but to be honest- could have been implemented so much better. The game even lacks in what I expected it to be like in terms of graphics- depsite what some may say about the visuals- they aren't all that great and this isn't the game I would show to my friends to show off Xbox 360's graphical power. Many people love this game on 360- needless to say- I just didn't 'get' this title.

GRAW looks fantastic on my TV. Wonder what's going on there then?

As for the game itself - I thought it was quite good. I didn't like playing it on XBL though.

I thought the graphics were so average, I can't believe some people use the word 'stunning.' I've seen it on a variety of TV sets too- all the same.
