Xbox Live: Arcade Wednesday

Small Arms is the latest game to hit the Arcade, priced at 800 MPS for the full version and available tomorrow. Small Arms is some wierd shooter and.....erm....here just let IGN explain...

"Small Arms is the frantic multiplayer brawling game where up to 4 players can join in the battles across dynamic and detailed levels. Choose from a cast of awesome fighters like cyborg tabby cats, assassin truffle pigs and mutant chimney sweeps. Jump from platform to platform shooting each other to pieces with 360° aim."- IGN

This has to be the best looking XBLA game to date. When I first played the practise level I thought it was going to be like Viewtiful Joe, but it's certainly a Super Smash Brothers Melee rip off.

Don't get me wrong, it does the SSBM thing really well and I'm sure it will be a huge hit. Problem for me though, is that I never really got into that title the first time around.

I thought SSBM was much better, though that's to be expected. TBH, I just didn't like Small Arms. I find it hard to keep track of where my character is on screen and it just isn't fun to play at all.

Does look nice though.
