Summary:
If you're here for the singleplayer, you won't be disappointed- with some of the very best splinter cell missions that the series has to offer. The game shows stunning design, with the trust system working exceptionally well. However the game features a seemingly very rushed and half hearted multiplayer mode, which has been left pretty basic folllowing the two previous online titles. Traditional co-op play has also been cut from the Xbox 360 version.
Pros:
+ A fine addition to the series- more great singleplayer
+ Stunning visuals in singleplayer
+ Trust system is excellent
+ Fantastic JBA HQ missions
Cons:
- Singleplayer is very short
- Not particularly challenging- even on hard difficulty
- Piss poor multiplayer- very basic and some of the worse graphics seen on a 360 game
- Awful unlockable 'full colour' night vision
Singleplayer: 8/10
Multiplayer: 4/10

Good, good, good! I only play the SC games for the single player anyway, never really bothered with the online section (probably due to the PS2's crap online service). Looking forward to Christmas day, i just hope i don't finish the actual campaign in one sitting, lol.
It took a while for you to review this Chris, this is not good enough ;P lol, joking.
You may finish the game in one sitting, seriously. If you sit and play for a solid 5 hours you will beat it.
You say that about the online, and yes I agree in that the SC games are always about the SP, but in this case I think you'll be looking to the MP mode to gain longetivity out of this title- it's then that you will be disappointed.
If you don't decide to play the multiplayer, then as soon as you've finished the game once- there's not much replayability in the single player. However if you do decide to play it, you will turn it off because you'd rather play a better online game.
Btw I tried to pick up F.E.A.R today but HMV have sold out, so I picked up a launch title instead- PGR3 and will be getting F.E.A.R for my birthday instead (Dec 11th.) I don't normally go for racing games, but I've always liked the PGR series and I fancied a go at number 3.
I'm surprised that F.E.A.R. sold out, it seems like it's been more popular than i thought it would be!
And as far as driving games go, you should have picked up Burnout Revenge instead, it totaly owns, even on my ageing PS2. It doesn't matter if you don't like driving games, the Burnout series is just fun to play. I played PGR3 at Franny's a few weeks ago, it's good, but it got a little bit boring after a bit if i'm honest. Hope you enjoy it though!
Burnout? No way. I used to be a hugeee fan of the Burnout games, that was until EA came along. They have completely ruined the series. I liked it when it used to be about AVOIDING traffic at high speeds, not hitting it. Burnout 2 completely owns the latest Burnout games.
I did love Burnout 2, it was awesome, but i think you're being a bit harsh on the new ones. Burnout 3 was just as good as 2 (you had to avoid the traffic like the good old days) and Revenge is great fun once you get used to being able to hit traffic (it did admittedly feel a bit 'alien' to me for the first few days of play), i liked how it added a new dimension to the game dynamic, sure it made it slightly easier for noobies, but the aim was still to drive on the wrong side of the road to get boost. And who can argue that seeing a 100 cars fly over your head on traffic attack wasn't a sight to see, i think i almost jizzed the first time i did that, lol (joking).
Burnout 3 isn't all like Burnout 2 though is it, or avoliding cars. I hated those 'takedowns' where you have to bump cars into oncoming traffic or into scenery...it's just a plain shit idea...imo.
I thought SC:DA seemed longer than 5 hours. You must have blasted through it. It could be argued that missions do have replayability as you can approach them differently (like say - Tenchu).
As for PGR3 V's Burnout on the 360 - I'd go for PGR3 everytime. Great on XBL too - and superb to use your custom soundtracks on.
I would say SC is between 5-8 hours, depending how good you are. On easy or normal though- it's not challenging at all.
As for PGR Vs Burnout- I think that anyone who has played both games and owned a Xbox and a Xbox 360, and condier themselves racing fans- would concider PGR the better racing experience. Plus like you say- the online mode is far superior.
Edit: notice this is the SPDA review...we should have started a new article...a PGR vs Burnout feature- lol!
Yeah definitely, PGR 3 is the better racing game, PGR is in the same league as Gran Turismo on the PS, it's a sofisticated driving simulation (key word: simulation) whereas Burnout is just an arcade driving experience, it's fairly hard to compare them really due to one being a serious driving sim and the other a vibrant, violent, stupid racer. We're all entitled to opinions ("Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one" - Dirty Harry, lol), i just prefer Burnout :P
Like I said, i too once loved Burnout and still do- but only the first two titles. The others are decent...but they have lost something ever since EA got involved. When playing Burnout2 I always thought that the game needed an awesome online mode- and with number 3 we got it- unfortunately EA's online service is appaling- especially because they insist in using their own servers for their games on Xbox Live- even though Live's servers are much better.
Still- PGR is definately not a racing simulation. Granted- it's not as arcadey as Burnout- but it's not a sim. Forza Motorsport- now that is a sim. PGR has elements of sim and arcade I guess.
